Know Before You Go

As per the order of the PHO issued on November 19th, all individuals, places of work and businesses in BC must significantly reduce their level of social interactions and travel. The existing order, which began November 19, 2020, has been extended until February 5, 2021.

At this time, all non-essential travel should be avoided. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our beautiful Comox Valley again in the future when the time is right. Until then, let’s do our part by following provincial health orders and continuing to support local businesses in accordance with the health orders.

Travel Advisory

BC has entered Phase 3 of its reopening plan, and effective August 9, 2021, Canada will allow entry to fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents (currently residing in the US) for leisure travel. If they meet the entry criteria, fully vaccinated travellers do not have to quarantine upon arrival to Canada.

We encourage all travellers to be fully informed of the pre-entry and on-arrival public health and testing requirements both federally and provincially. This includes the mandatory use of the ArriveCAN app. Travellers should plan for extra time in the lead-up, and upon the arrival of their trip.

For the latest information on travel to Canada including the updated federal requirements and restrictions, please visit the Government of Canada website.

Please travel responsibly: plan your trip in advance, be adventure smart and practice safety in our forests and on our waters. Please practice kindness and patience when visiting our tourism businesses, communities and First Nations communities; our strong and resilient industry is happy to see you, but it may take time to resume previous levels of our world-class service.

Masks are no longer required while indoors, but still highly recommended. Especially for those who are unvaccinated.

Some local businesses are easing restrictions at their own pace. Please respect the safety protocols and procedures set in place by local businesses.
